1. Data controller
The data controller is GAL della Pesca Trapanese.
For any request about the processing of personal data you can write to info@galpescatrapanese.it.
2. What data we process and why
Requests sent through the forms on the site
When you use the contact forms, the availability requests (packages, experiences, stays and itineraries), “Plan your trip” or the “Propose your experience” application, we process the data you write to us: first name, last name, email address, any phone number, the content of the message and, if you provide them, dates, number of participants and chosen stops.
- Purpose: to answer your request and, if you wish, to prepare a trip proposal or assess your application.
- Legal basis: performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Contact: before sending the form we ask you to tick a box by which you agree to be contacted by us, by email or phone, only to answer your request. If you gave your email, we immediately send you an automatic message confirming receipt. We do not use your data for newsletters or commercial communications.
- Retention: 12 months from receipt of the request; after that, requests are deleted automatically, unless required by law.
- Providing the data marked as mandatory is necessary in order to answer; without it we cannot handle the request.
Browsing data
To make the site work and to protect it, our systems automatically record some technical data (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser type). We do not use it to identify or profile you. Legal basis: legitimate interest in the security and proper functioning of the site (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). It is kept for a limited period.
Contributors and back-office users
For those who manage the content of the site we process name, email and access data, to allow use of the restricted area and to keep track of changes. Legal basis: performance of the collaboration relationship and legitimate interest in security.
3. Cookies
The site uses only technical cookies, needed for it to work: a session cookie and a form-protection cookie (XSRF-TOKEN, which lasts 2 hours). To defend the forms from spam we also insert in each form an encrypted code with the time it was opened, which is not a cookie and does not identify the person writing. We do not use profiling or marketing cookies or analytics tools that identify visitors, and for this reason your consent is not required. If in future we introduce different tools, we will update this notice and ask for your consent where necessary.
4. Third-party services
- Maps: the interactive maps use OpenStreetMap maps. When you view a map, your IP address is sent to the OpenStreetMap servers to load the images. Privacy policy: https://wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy
- Google Search Console: to see how the site appears in search results we use this free Google service. It does not install cookies or other tools on your device and does not track people who visit the site: we receive from Google only aggregated statistics about the searches that led to the site (for example how many times a page appeared in the results).
- Videos: some blog articles embed YouTube videos in enhanced-privacy mode (youtube-nocookie.com). When you start or load a video, Google may receive your IP address and store data on your device, according to its own privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
- External links: some pages link to sites of other parties (for example the West of Sicily portal or the calendars for booking an appointment). When you open them, their owners process your data according to their own notices.
5. Who we share data with
The data is processed by authorised staff of the controller and by suppliers who help us run the site (hosting and email), appointed as data processors. Requests about experiences and stays may be shared with the operator concerned, only in order to answer you. The data is not disseminated and is not sold. We do not transfer it outside the European Economic Area, except with adequate safeguards provided for by the GDPR.
6. Your rights
You can ask at any time for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and object to the processing, by writing to the contact details given above. If the processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of what was done before the withdrawal.
If you believe the processing violates the law, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it).
7. Minors
The site is not aimed at children under 14 and we do not knowingly collect their data without the consent of the person with parental responsibility.
8. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when the site or the law changes. The version in force is always the one published on this page.
