Description
Between the sea of San Vito Lo Capo, the mountain of Erice and the countryside of Valderice, on a hill facing the Gulf of Cornino and Monte Cofano, immersed in the green nature of the province of Trapani, Baglio Santacroce stands out.
The building dates back to 1637 and, in front of the old residence, a new “baglio” has recently been built, perfectly integrated into the whole, reproducing the architectural type of a closed-courtyard building and keeping, both in furnishings and materials, the style and originality of the original house.
The 67 rooms, 2 of them junior suites, have private bathrooms, telephone, television, safe, mini-fridge, heating and Wi-Fi, while in the new “Baglio” comfort is increased by air conditioning.
The restaurant, located on the covered terrace with a striking sea view, offers good cooking with several typical Trapani dishes. Other services include: bar, meeting room, TV room, reading room, internet point, Wi-Fi zone, swimming pool, panoramic terraces, large gardens with typically Mediterranean planting, private parking.
Baglio Santacroce stands on an area of 35,000 sq m and is therefore surrounded by a lush garden of agaves, olive trees, citrus trees and aromatic plants, lovingly tended by the owners. The pride of the Cusenza family is a true “pearl” for the people of Valderice, who thus manage, through this interesting link of culture, art and economy, to make a positive impression on visitors and leave a good memory in travellers who admire the building for the first time.
