The best-known of the museums is certainly the Museum of the Satyr, which keeps a very rare and precious example of Greek bronze statuary of the fourth century BC, found in 1998 by a Mazara fishing boat in the Strait of Sicily: the work represents a young satyr with pointed ears, in an attitude of whirling dance, with the left leg raised, the torso turned and the arms outstretched…
